An internal project for Consid Malmö office, one of Sweden's largest IT companies, the "Consid Events" event manager was designed to revolutionize the way the company handled its events. The project required developing a full-stack application that included an admin panel for managing events and a TV screen interface for displaying event details in real-time.
The backend was constructed using ASP.NET Core, ensuring a robust and scalable foundation. Azure Entra ID was integrated for secure authentication, providing seamless access control and user management. For efficient image handling, ImageMagick was utilized, allowing for advanced image processing capabilities. SignalR was incorporated to enable real-time updates, ensuring that any changes made in the admin panel were immediately reflected on the TV screens and other connected interfaces.
The frontend development was carried out using React, chosen for its flexibility and efficiency in building interactive user interfaces. The React-based admin panel provided a user-friendly experience, making it easy for administrators to create, edit, and manage events. The TV screen interface, developed with Vanilla JS, was designed to be simple yet effective, ensuring clear and concise display of event information.
Deployment of the application posed its own set of challenges. It was hosted on an internal Raspberry Pi device, which required meticulous setup and configuration. Nginx was used as the web server, and Nginx Proxy Manager was implemented to manage routing and SSL certification. This setup ensured secure, encrypted communication, essential for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of internal data.
The "Looka Inventory Manager" project was a school project focused on developing a comprehensive full-stack inventory management system. The goal was to create a robust and efficient tool for managing inventory using a relational database.
The backend was developed using MySQL and Laravel, providing a secure and scalable foundation for the application. Laravel was chosen for its elegant syntax and powerful features, which facilitated rapid development and robust performance.
On the frontend, Vue.js was utilized to create a dynamic and responsive user interface. Vue's reactive data binding and component-based architecture made it an ideal choice for this project, ensuring a smooth and interactive user experience. The application was styled using Bootstrap, enhancing its visual appeal and usability.
The project was deployed using Docker on Fly.io, which simplified the process of containerizing the application and managing its deployment. This setup ensured consistency across development and production environments, and facilitated easy scalability.
The "Skogs AB" project involved creating a comprehensive WordPress site and blog. This project was divided into three main parts: Figma design, static website, and WordPress theme development. The goal was to build a fully functional, self-hosted website from scratch.
The initial phase involved designing the website using Figma. This step ensured that all design elements were cohesive and aligned with the project’s vision. The Figma design served as the blueprint for the subsequent development phases.
The next phase was the creation of a static website. This part of the project focused on building a responsive and visually appealing static site that mirrored the Figma design. This provided a solid foundation for the final phase of the project.
The final phase involved developing a custom WordPress theme based on the static site. This was accomplished using PHP and WordPress, allowing for dynamic content management and blogging capabilities. The entire project was self-hosted, requiring setup and configuration of the hosting environment, including server setup and security measures.
The "Resturant AB" project was built from scratch to create a comprehensive web solution for a restaurant, featuring both a public-facing site and an admin site. This project was centered around developing a PHP-based site with a RESTful API backend and MySQL for data management.
The public site was designed to be fully editable from the admin dashboard, allowing seamless content management. The site was optimized for performance and responsiveness to ensure a smooth user experience across all devices.
Frontend development utilized HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with Gulp employed to minify code and compress images, enhancing load times and overall efficiency. The integration of Gulp streamlined the build process, ensuring that the frontend assets were optimized and production-ready.
The project was completed in 1.5 months, covering full-stack development, graphic design, server setup, and other essential tasks. The comprehensive approach ensured that the restaurant's digital presence was professional, functional, and visually appealing.
The "Jarvoski - Ski Resort" project was a comprehensive WordPress site created to serve as both a website and a blog for a ski resort. This project involved designing a custom WordPress theme and developing the site from scratch using PHP and WordPress. The design was based on a Figma prototype that I created, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing layout.
The project was self-hosted, involving server setup and configuration to ensure optimal performance and security. I incorporated various plugins such as FluentForms for creating forms, Yoast SEO for search engine optimization, and MonsterInsights for analytics. These tools enhanced the site's functionality and provided valuable insights into user behavior.
In addition to developing the main site, I also created custom widgets and integrated them seamlessly into the WordPress theme. This allowed for dynamic content and interactive features that enhanced the user experience. The site was built to be responsive and optimized for various devices, ensuring accessibility for all users.
The "Aous Josef - Portfolio" project is a personal website designed to showcase my skills, projects, and professional background. This portfolio site was developed using modern web technologies to ensure a sleek and responsive design that highlights my expertise in web development.
The site is built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, providing a solid foundation for the structure, style, and interactivity of the pages. To enhance the site's functionality and aesthetics, various JavaScript libraries and frameworks were incorporated, including Popper.js for dynamic positioning, Bootstrap for responsive design, Isotope for advanced filtering and sorting, and AOS (Animate On Scroll) for engaging animations.
Gulp was utilized in the development process to automate tasks such as code minification and image compression, ensuring that the website loads quickly and efficiently. This workflow not only improves performance but also maintains high code quality and consistency across the project.
The portfolio is designed to be a comprehensive showcase of my work, featuring detailed descriptions of my projects, my skills, and my professional journey. It serves as both a personal brand statement and a practical example of my web development capabilities.
